2027 Budget Motels Australian National Blackball Championships

Tasmania Gets Ready to Welcome Australia’s Best Blackball Players!

The countdown is on to one of the biggest events on the Australian Blackball calendar — the 2027 Budget Motels Australian National Blackball Championships, coming to Ulverstone, Tasmania, from 19–27

February 2027.

For nine action-packed days, the best Blackball players from across Australia will come together to battle for national titles, represent their states and clubs, and chase the ultimate prize — the honour of being crowned an Australian National Champion.

But this event is about much more than competition.

It is a celebration of Blackball, friendship, state pride and the Australian pool community, bringing together players, families, supporters, officials, volunteers and spectators from every corner of the country.

🇦🇺 Every State, One Championship.

The 2027 Nationals will see Australia's Blackball community converge on Tasmania, with players competing across a range of individual, team and age-category events.

From established champions and seeded players to emerging first-time Nationals competitors, the championships provide an opportunity for players of all levels to step onto the national stage.

Every frame will matter.

Every match will tell a story.

And every player will have the opportunity to create a moment they will remember for years to come.

🏆 More Than a Tournament

The Australian National Blackball Championships have become a major annual gathering for the Australian cue-sports community, and the 2027 event promises to continue that tradition.

The championships will showcase the incredible depth of Blackball talent across Australia while providing players with the opportunity to compete against the very best from other states.

It is also an opportunity for states to come together, build friendships and strengthen the national Blackball community.

Away from the tables, players and supporters will have the chance to experience everything Tasmania has to offer — making the 2027 Nationals a championship that combines world-class competition with a memorable Tasmanian experience.
